Kraken added ASTER to its exchange, enabling trading and cross-chain DeFi features as liquidity allows.

  • ASTER crypto added to Kraken platform
  • The crypto supports hybrid decentralized digital asset trading
  • Kraken App and 'Instant Buy' trades to follow as liquidity allows

Crypto trading platform Kraken on Monday added to its exchange ASTER, a cryto tied to an alternative decentralised trading platform.

ASTER, the crypto, is described as the native token for governance, growth and rewards on the Aster Chain - whereas Aster, the decentralized exchange, is said to be focused on high-performance DeFi applications.

The crypto asset added to Kraken today is designed to support spot and perpetual trading across BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana and Arbitrum.

As Kraken highlights it 'enables MEV-free execution, grid trading and yield-backed collateral using asBNB and USDF' ... and it is now available to trade on the Kraken exchange.

Whilst standard trading of ASTER is now live, the crypto exchange noted that trading via the Kraken App and its 'Instant Buy' function will launch once liquidity conditions are met. It also noted that geography-based restrictions may also apply.

Kraken, meanwhile, noted its policy concerning the new assets on it's platform, which is to say that more assets will be added, but it will "never reveal any details until shortly before launch – including which assets we are considering."

On Monday, ASTER was priced at $1.16042.
