Premium subscribers will receive tailored weekly plans and workouts based on their individual goals

Fitbit, the Google-owned wearable fitness brand, is adding a suite of new features to its AI-powered personal health coach, which remains in public preview, including personalised weekly fitness plans for Premium subscribers.

The updated coach generates tailored weekly targets and workout recommendations based on each user's goals, activity history and fitness level.

The ability to adjust plans, targets and individual workouts directly within the app will arrive next week, giving users more control over the coaching experience.

Fitbit is also introducing step-by-step guidance for workouts recommended by the coach, designed to walk users through exercises in real time rather than simply listing them.

The Ask Coach chat feature, which allows users to ask questions about their health data, has been updated to deliver more natural check-ins and conversational responses.
